I checked the rate on Peninsula Excelsior Hotel and it is doing as low as SGD 155 per night in September. Peninsula Excelsior Hotel is located near City Hall MRT station.
My Conclusion
If you are going to Singapore, take a look of the participating hotels. Some of them are near MRT and quite convenience.
