Best Western Rewards members can extra 1,000 bonus points when they make a booking through BestWestern.com for stay before September 1, 2014. You must register for this promotion by visiting www.bestwestern.com/summer14online.
Please note that your earning preference must be set to points at the time of your stays for you to earn the bonus points during the Promotion period. If your earning preference is set to miles at the time of your stays and you are registered for the Promotion, you will not earn the bonus points.
On the promotion page, it says you can receive up to 20% off for the participating hotel’s when you select “BEST VALUE” or “WEB SPECIAL” rate. But I doubt that only few hotels can enjoy up to 20% off.

My conclusion
If you are more concern getting discount rather than getting 1000 bonus point. You can take a look of the Best Western corporate code here which you can enjoy 19%-25% discount off on most of the hotels.
