SPG has launched a new global promotion call “Double Play”. By register this promotion, you can earn double points on eligible stays of two or more consecutive. In addition, you can earn 1,000 Bonus Starpoints for every five nights, up to 4,000 bonus starpoints. This 5 nights doesn’t need to be consecutive.
There is no limit to the number of double bonus points you can earn during this period

SPG categories 1 hotel start with 2,000 points for a free night and categories 2 starts with 3,000 points only. There are some nice hotels in categories 1 and 2 is cheaper to use point to redeem a stay.
